The WBSC Women&#8217;s Softball World Cup road to qualification will start in 2026 with 18 teams participating in the group stage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportstravelmagazine.com\/oklahoma-city-to-host-2026-wbsc-womens-world-cup-group-stage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">including\u00a0Oklahoma City in September<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We want to see more global sporting events call Queensland home over the next seven years to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportstravelmagazine.com\/tag\/2032-olympic-summer-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games<\/a> and the Women\u2019s Softball World Cup is a perfect fit,&#8221; said Queensland Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games <strong>Tim<\/strong> <strong>Mander<\/strong>. &#8220;This is a sport with a strong Olympic history, having been included in the Games in 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2020, and it\u2019s fantastic to see it returning at LA 2028. We all remember the impact of the Matildas in 2023 and competing on home turf in a Softball World Cup in 2027 will inspire more young women to emulate their sporting heroes on the
